Small group dolphin Tours— Not a Crowded TourIST Boat

Step aboard a comfortable catamaran for an interactive sailing experience through the Intracoastal Waterway. This isn’t a packed tour — it’s a relaxed, small-group trip where you can enjoy the ride, ask questions, and even get involved in the sailing if you’d like.

As you cruise through calm coastal waters, keep an eye out for dolphins, manatees, and native birdlife commonly seen along the route. With fewer guests on board, you’ll have better views, more space, and a quieter, more personal experience.

Departing from Cape Crossing Resort & Marina, this tour offers one of the most scenic and enjoyable ways to explore the Cocoa Beach area from the water.

Questions? We have answers!

Will we see dolphins?

There’s a very good chance—we see them on most trips. That said, they’re wild and on their own schedule… which is part of what makes it fun. When they show up, it’s real—not staged.

Can we get in the water?

Yes! — but swimming is only available on private charters.

If you book a private trip, we can usually plan time for a quick 10-15 min swim and, during our Sail & Splash private charters (May–August), we include a longer swim stop when conditions allow.

On public tours, we stay focused on sailing, dolphin spotting, and enjoying the ride, so we don’t stop for swimming.

Is this a crowded tour?

Nope. This isn’t a floating nightclub or a packed tour boat. We keep things small, relaxed, and comfortable so you can actually enjoy being out there.

Can we participate in sailing?

Yes — guests are welcome to be as hands-on or relaxed as they prefer.

Where do we depart from?

Cape Crossing Resort & Marina is our home base at 290 Marine Harbor Drive. The local favorite Dolphins Waterfront Restaurant is a great option before or after your trip for great food and drinks!

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a no worries, no waves cancellation policy — you can reschedule or cancel up until the day prior and receive a full refund! We keep it simple and flexible so you can book with confidence.

What happens if the weather isn’t good?

If it’s not safe or enjoyable, we won’t go. Simple as that. We’ll work with you to reschedule or refund. Light Florida sprinkles usually pass quick—big weather, we adjust.

How much sailing vs motoring is there?

As much as the wind will give us. If it’s cooperating, we’re sailing. If not, we’ll cruise a bit under power—but either way, you’re getting a real on-the-water experience, not just sitting still.

Do you go into the ocean or stay in the lagoon?

Our tours take place in the protected lagoon waters around Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island, which provide calmer conditions and great wildlife viewing.

Is this good for kids?

Absolutely. Just know it’s more chill than chaotic—great for kids who enjoy being on the water, spotting dolphins, and relaxing a bit.

Do you cover a lot of distance?

Not really—and that’s by design. We’re not trying to rack up miles. We cruise at a relaxed pace (about 4–6 knots) so you can enjoy the ride, spot wildlife, and actually unwind.

Is this a narrated tour?

No scripts, no microphone, no “on your left you’ll see…”

We keep it natural—more like going out on the water with a knowledgeable local than sitting through a lecture. If you want a fully guided, educational tour, our sister company Wildside Eco Tours is built for that.

What's the difference between public and private options?

Public tours are shared and easygoing.

Private charters are where you can make it your own—more flexibility, swim options, and a more personalized trip.
